A route into Europe

The French Velodyssey is part of ‘EuroVelo 1’, one of the 15 cycle routes on the EuroVelo network which connects many of the countries of Europe.

To continue the adventure, you can also discover the English section – the Velodyssey Devon, which runs all the way from Plymouth to Ilfracombe – and is described in greater detail elsewhere on this site.
It’s even possible to continue the route further north in England… and then beyond towards the North Cape in Norway… or to head south and follow the EV1 route into Spain.

The connection to England is made via the ferry from Roscoff to Plymouth.
Velodyssey also crosses paths with a number of other European routes: the EV4 at Roscoff as well as the EV6 at Nantes - better known as ‘La Loire à Vélo’.

Within the framework of the Devon section of the ‘CYCLE project’, Britain benefits from the support of the European programme of trans-border cooperation INTERREG IVA France (Channel) England.
