Josselin Castle

On the banks of the River Oust, Josselin Castle, founded in the early 11th century, is an important stage on the ‘Route of the Dukes’.

The Velodyssey – Josselin castle - © CRT Bretagne - J. DamaseOwned by the Rohan family, which is one of the oldest in Brittany, the castle is the symbol of the town of Josselin.  The history behind this small characterful city is intimately linked to that of the chateau which looks down upon it.  Its flamboyant gothic style is testimony to the feudal architecture of the Renaissance.  Take the time to stroll through the gardens after visiting the Castle.
